China's Expanding Visa-Free Programme Drives Record Foreign Tourist Influx
China recorded 45.91 million foreign arrivals in the first half of 2026, up 20.6 per cent year-on-year, as its expanding visa-free policies draw international tourists. More than 77 per cent entered without visas, while Chinese passport holders gained access to additional countries.
