Malaysia Targets 30% Cut in Seed Imports by 2040 Using Biotechnology
Malaysia's Agriculture Ministry has approved a strategic plan to boost local seed and breed production through modern biotechnology, aiming to reduce import dependency by 30 per cent by 2040 and strengthen agricultural self-sufficiency.
