Philippine Earthquake Rewrites Coastline as Seabed Thrusts Above Water
A devastating 7.8-magnitude earthquake in the southern Philippines has permanently altered the coastline, with the seabed rising two metres in some areas. The disaster killed at least 76 people and displaced hundreds of fishing families who now fear further tremors.
