Women Make Modest Gains in Johor State Election, Winning 10 of 34 Contested Seats
Women candidates achieved modest success in Johor's 16th state election, with ten of thirty-four female aspirants winning Legislative Assembly seats. Seven victors represented Barisan Nasional while three belonged to Pakatan Harapan.
