Nearly 100,000 Scam Posts Removed From Social Media in Seven Months, Exceeding Last Year's Total
Malaysia has removed nearly 100,000 scam-related posts from social media platforms in the first seven months of 2026, exceeding the entire 2025 tally. Deputy Communications Minister Teo Nie Ching highlighted the escalating challenge during parliament's passage of the Communications and Multimedia Amendment Bill.
