Southwestern Japan Earthquake Kills 13 as Rescue Operations Continue
A magnitude 7.1 earthquake in Kumamoto Prefecture, southwestern Japan, has claimed 13 lives. Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi announced the death toll Wednesday as rescue teams searched for missing persons and transport services remained disrupted.
