Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has announced a RM4.06 billion federal allocation to Sabah for rural water supply projects, targeting the state's poorest districts and addressing critical infrastructure gaps in remote communities.
Sabah is installing 10 high-capacity water storage tanks at Puncak Gloxinia condominium to mitigate frequent supply interruptions affecting over 1,200 households in the Papar district.
Sabah is investing RM70.6 million to upgrade a 1.3km section of Jalan Lok Kawi into a four-lane dual carriageway, aimed at easing traffic congestion and improving safety in the rapidly developing Lok Kawi-Pengalat-Papar corridor.

The RM500 million expansion of Kota Kinabalu International Airport remains stalled pending resolution of land and site issues with the Sabah government, though funding has been approved, Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Hasbi Habibollah said.
