Cabinet Backs Road Safety Reform With Mandatory Victim Compensation for Offenders
Malaysia's Cabinet has agreed in principle to amend the Road Transport Act 1987 to allow courts to order road offenders to pay compensation to accident victims, strengthening accountability and road safety measures.
